Let this find someone who protected peace without needing their way.

Crowded land was turning the herdsmen against each other, but Abram remembered that he and Lot were family.

He asked for no strife, let Lot choose first, and took the other direction. Releasing first pick made room for peace without pretending the conflict was not real.
