Honor the hands that helped.

Let this reach the person who made life lighter by quietly serving.

Jesus knows where he came from and where he is going, yet he rises, takes a towel, and washes his disciples' feet. His authority does not keep him distant from their need.

Then he calls the act an example. Love is not diminished when it kneels; it becomes tangible in the task that lightens another person's load.
