Between assumption and truth

One honest question can make room for peace.

Let this find someone who needs the courage to ask before assuming.

Israel saw an altar and prepared for war. Before attacking, leaders crossed the Jordan and asked the eastern tribes what it meant.

The answer did not excuse rebellion; it revealed there was none. The altar was a witness that they still belonged, and listening made room for peace.
