Hand the Story Down

Joshua set up twelve stones so future children would ask what they meant. The answer carried a story of help into the next generation.

Scripture · Source
that this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask in the future, saying, ‘What do you mean by these stones?’ then you shall tell them, ‘Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of Yahweh’s covenant. When it crossed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.’”

For a story worth carrying

Ask where help showed up.

A quiet invitation to keep one story of help from disappearing.

The stones at Gilgal were meant to invite a question. When children asked what they meant, the answer carried remembered help into a new generation.

Some family stories of help can become hope when someone takes the time to ask, listen, and carry them forward.
