Simeon does not know which day will be the day. He keeps looking for the rescuer God promised, carrying hope through the ordinary rhythm of waiting.

Then Jesus is placed in his arms. The wait ends without spectacle—with gratitude, peace, and eyes that have finally seen what God promised.
