For someone on the road of grief

Send them mercy that comes near.

A reminder that Jesus did not pass grief by on the road to Nain.

At Nain, a widow walks behind her only son. The whole road is moving toward loss, and there is no easy word for that kind of grief.

Then Jesus sees her, has compassion, touches the bier, and the road stands still. Mercy does not pass grief by; restoration begins.
