Be Our Eyes

Before the wilderness journey, Moses asked Hobab to stay because his knowledge of the land mattered.

Scripture · Source
“Don't leave us, please; because you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes.”
Numbers 10:31 · Word of God
For the one who helped you read the road

Honor the wisdom beside you.

Send this to someone whose practical wisdom helped you find the way, then ask whose knowledge belongs beside you next.

Moses knew where the people were going, but he did not pretend to know every part of the road. He asked Hobab to stay because Hobab knew how to camp in the wilderness and could be their eyes.

The passage records Hobab's first refusal and Moses' renewed invitation, not the outcome. Its warm movement is the invitation itself: faith and practical wisdom can belong on the same journey.
