Psalm 139 does not deny the dark. It says the dark is not dark to God, and you are not hidden from him.

For someone afraid in the dark

Let this find them there.

If someone feels lost in it, send them a little light from Psalm 139.

Psalm 139 lets you say the honest thing: surely the darkness will overwhelm me. It does not ask you to pretend the night feels small.

But it answers fear with a deeper truth. Darkness does not hide you from God. What you cannot see through is still clear to him.
